The Ajman Arbitration Centre, operating under the Ajman Chamber, organized a training program entitled "Ajman Ar-bitration Centre Rules and Procedures 2026" in collabora-tion with the Emirates Association of Lawyers and Legal Professionals and its training arm, the Higher Institute for Legal Training. The program aimed to introduce partici-pants to the steps and stages of arbitration proceedings, from the registration of a case to the issuance and en-forcement of the arbitral award. The two-day training program, held at the Fairmont Ajman Hotel, was attended by Hendi Obaid Al Matrooshi, Secre-tary General of the Ajman Arbitration Centre, Dr. Salam Al Issa, Director General of the Higher Institute for Legal Training, and more than 70 participants, including lawyers, legal consultants, business owners, and individuals inter-ested in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution meth-ods. In his opening remarks, Hendi Al Matrooshi welcomed the attendees and emphasized that the training program forms part of the ongoing efforts of the Ajman Chamber and the Ajman Arbitration Centre to promote legal and arbitration awareness and enhance the competencies of practitioners and those interested in commercial arbitration. He noted that the program is an extension of the series of legal sem-inars that the Chamber is committed to organizing regular-ly. He stated: "The training program aims to enhance legal and practical knowledge of the rules and procedures of the Ajman Arbitration Centre, enabling them to gain a compre-hensive understanding of the arbitration process, and famil-iarize them with the mechanisms for registering and admin-istering cases, constituting arbitral tribunals, managing hearings, issuing arbitral awards, and enforcing them in accordance with the approved legal and procedural frame-works." The Secretary General of the Ajman Arbitration Centre al-so stressed that arbitration is one of the most important al-ternative dispute resolution mechanisms, as it offers flexi-bility, efficiency, and confidentiality in proceedings. It also allows disputing parties to appoint arbitrators with the nec-essary expertise and specialization, thereby strengthening confidence in the commercial and investment environment. The training program was presented by Dr. Amjad Al Jehani, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Ajman Arbitration Cen-tre. He presented an overview of the Centre's mandate, juris-diction, and role in dispute resolution, explained its approved rules and procedures and the mechanisms for filing arbitration requests, and showcased practical case studies designed to en-hance participants' understanding of the various stages of arbi-tration proceedings and their implementation. The program also featured an interactive discussion and Q&A session, providing participants with an opportunity to ex-change views on various aspects of arbitration rules and proce-dures and to discuss a number of practical case scenarios. Participants commended the quality and relevance of the train-ing program, highlighting its role in strengthening their under-standing of arbitration procedures. They noted that the inter-active sessions and practical case studies helped clarify the op-erational mechanisms adopted by the Ajman Arbitration Cen-tre and contributed to the professional development of practi-tioners and individuals interested in the field of dispute resolu-tion.
