The virtual edition of AETEX-2021 sees remarkable success

The organizing committee for the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition 2021 (AETEX) confirmed the success of the virtual edition of the exhibition that was organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. It witnessed great turnout of visitors that reached more than 2,500 from students, parents, and those looking to complete their university and postgraduate studies. Abdullah Abdulmohsen Al Nuaimi, vice-chairman of the organising committee, asserted success of the virtual exhibition, which relied on realistic simulation and direct communication between representatives of the participating institutions and visitors. The universities were keen to interact with visitors by sending information about what they provide from academic disciplines that keep pace with the labour market requirements. He continued, “The exhibition presented a number of specialized workshops under the umbrella of the Ministry of Education and in cooperation with a number of government and private entities that focusing on the importance of technical education, future job opportunities and academic specializations related to the management and implementation of SMEs”. The visitors were able to attend the workshops via the electronic platform the exhibition. Abdullah Al Nuaimi emphasized the distinction and sustainability of the virtual edition of AETEX after the end of the exhibition's activities. The electronic platform allows visiting at any time to know about the participating institutions and their most prominent disciplines, in addition to viewing the workshop archive, he added. He further commended the existing cooperation with the Ministry of Education, emphasizing the role played by AETEX in providing a direct communication channel between students and higher education institutions from inside and outside the country. It reviews the various academic disciplines that keep pace the requirements of the labour market, in addition to contributing to the exchange experiences between the participants and acquaintance with the new educational tools and means, especially after the changes witnessed by the educational sector and distance learning, he added.

The virtual AETEX-2021 kicks-off

Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on Tuesday inaugurated the 8th edition and first virtual of the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition-2021 (AETEX). The two-day-exhibition is organized by the Ajman Chamber in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, with the participation of more than 25 universities and educational institutions from inside and outside the country. Al Muwaiji explained that the eighth edition of AETEX serves as a leading local and international platform that seeks to enhance the educational sector in general. It embodies the emirate’s efforts in developing the exhibition industry and transforming the challenges posed by the consequences of the pandemic into sustainable opportunities. AETEX further reflects the leadership’s efforts in providing the ingredients that support investment in human beings, who are the driving force of the development and prosperity, he added. “This virtual edition is hosting elite of prominent universities and higher education institutions from inside and outside the UAE to showcase their academic and professional disciplines in several fields such as medicine, innovation, future foresight, technology, artificial intelligence, economics, project management, data analysis and other disciplines that keep pace with the requirements of the local, regional and international labor market. Therefore, the exhibition represents an opportunity for students and parents to learn about the enrolling steps in higher education institutions and the best available majors,” he added Al Muwaiji continued, “AETEX aims to enhance the cooperation and exchange of experiences between the exhibitors through the direct communication, and to highlight the latest tools and developments in the educational sector, especially in light of the consequences of the corona pandemic and distance learning.” He also said, “The continuity of organizing the AETEX definitely reflects the efforts of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry to develop the higher education sector, which is closely linked to the developments anticipated in the economic sector.” Al Muwaiji called on students and parents from inside and outside the country to visit the exhibition and communicate directly via video or instant chatting with representatives of the participating universities.
