Aetex Reviews Its 2026 Development Plan

In cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Organizing Committee of the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition (AETEX) held a joint meeting at the Ajman Chamber to discuss the organizational plan for AETEX 13th edition, scheduled to take place next April, with the participation of universities from within the UAE and abroad. The meeting also reviewed development pillars and proposed activities aimed at keeping pace with students’ aspirations and enhancing alignment between educational outcomes and labor market needs. The meeting, held at the Thara Entrepreneurship Hub, was attended by Abdullah Abdulmohsen Al Nuaimi, Director of the Government Communications at Ajman Chamber and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for AETEX’s activities; Mariam Al Nuaimi, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee; officials from the Ministry of Education and the Private Education Coordination Office in Ajman; and representatives of universities and members of the Organizing Committee for AETEX’s activities. At the outset, Abdullah Al Nuaimi welcomed the attendees, noting that the continued organization of AETEX, under the directives of the wise leadership and with the support of Ajman Chamber, reflects the AETEX status as a leading and sustainable educational platform. He emphasized that this year’s edition is being held in collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the Organizing Committee, contributing to the AETEX development, keeping pace with educational advancements, and strengthening its role in serving students and educational institutions. He said: "AETEX serves as a platform for direct engagement between universities from within the country and abroad, and students and parents, enabling them to learn about admission and registration requirements and facilitating the selection of academic majors aligned with labor market needs. It also allows students to receive academic advice and career guidance, helping them make well-informed educational decisions that enhance their future opportunities." Attendees discussed the importance of diversifying the AETEX accompanying workshops and focusing on guiding students toward disciplines most aligned with labor market requirements. They also highlighted the need to introduce university programs, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities, in addition to providing academic and career counseling. The meeting affirmed that AETEX 2026 will play a key role in contributing to the objectives of the “Year of Family 2026” by enabling parents to actively participate in their children’s educational journey and support them in making informed decisions regarding academic majors and training programs. Attendees also emphasized the vital role of the Organizing Committee in supporting and fostering partnerships and enhancing cooperation among participating universities under AETEX umbrella. This aims to open channels for exchanging expertise, best practices, and educational tools in higher education, particularly in light of the sector’s rapid dynamism, diversification of specializations, and evolving labor market requirements.
