The Ajman Arbitration Centre received a legal delegation from the Republic of Iraq to explore opportunities for cooperation, exchange expertise, and share best practices in the fields of arbitration and dispute resolution. The delegation was received at the headquarters of the Ajman Chamber by Hindi Obaid Al Matrooshi, Secretary-General of Ajman Arbitration Centre. The delegation included Dr. Alaa Shoun, Head of the Ershad Foundation for Arbitration, Cultural and Legal Development, a lawyer and arbitrator from Baghdad, Republic of Iraq. The meeting was attended by Moataz Massaad Khalaf, Legal Advisor at the Ajman Chamber; Dr. Ghinaa Al Matri, arbitrator and legal researcher in the UAE; and Khalifa Al Jasmi, lawyer and arbitrator at the Ajman Arbitration Centre. During the meeting, the delegation was briefed on the Ajman Arbitration Centre’s experience, the arbitration and legal services it provides, and its adopted operational mechanisms. Discussions also covered avenues for joint cooperation and the exchange of expertise, contributing to the development of the arbitration ecosystem and the enhancement of professional best practices in the field. Al Matrooshi affirmed that the Ajman Arbitration Centre is keen to expand its professional partnerships at both regional and international levels, and to further consolidate its position as a leading centre for arbitration and legal mediation, in line with globally recognized best practices and standards.
