Ajman Arbitration Centre Participates In The Arab Arbitration Conference Held In Cairo

The Ajman Centre for Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration (Ajman Arbitration Centre) participated in the Arab Arbitration Conference, held in Cairo from October 2 to 4 under the theme "Challenges and Solutions". The conference was organized by the International Academy for Mediation and Arbitration (IAMA). The conference aimed to provide an international platform for exchanging expertise in the field of arbitration, reviewing best practices and leading innovative experiences, as well as discussing the current reality and challenges of arbitration practices and its role in developing the economy and business. Additionally, it sought to enhance awareness of the importance of arbitration as a swift, effective, and fair means of dispute resolution. Hindi Obaid Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of the Ajman Arbitration Centre, took part in the conference proceedings, alongside a select group of officials from institutions and entities concerned with arbitration, and a number of experts, legal professionals, and specialists. The conference featured two main sessions titled "Towards an Advanced Arab Arbitration Legislation" and "Challenges of Enforcing Arbitration Awards." The event also included several specialized workshops that addressed pivotal topics such as the skills for cross-examining experts in construction and contracting cases, the effective management of arbitration cases, and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in international arbitration. Furthermore, a session highlighted the role of women in the field of arbitration, all with the goal of enriching the legal knowledge of the participants and facilitating the exchange of practical experiences among specialists and experts. Hindi Obaid Al Matrooshi affirmed the Ajman Arbitration Centre's commitment to active participation in specialized conferences and forums in the fields of arbitration and mediation. He stated that such engagement fosters the exchange of experiences and contributes to the development of the arbitration system at both the local and regional levels. He further explained that these participations offer an opportunity to keep abreast of the latest practices in commercial dispute settlement and to monitor legislative and technical developments that help enhance the business environment and support the sustainability of the economy across its various sectors. He commended the rich diversity of the conference sessions and workshops, which addressed crucial topics for developing the arbitration environment and boosting the legal and professional capabilities of the participants. Al Matrooshi stressed that the Ajman Arbitration Centre prioritizes expanding and strengthening its relations and partnerships with legal bodies and authorities. This effort is driven by a quest to adopt the most modern mechanisms and methods for dispute resolution, to elevate the Centre's efficiency and service quality, and to provide flexible and neutral environments for settling disputes effectively and professionally.
