H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, welcomed H.E. Maria Belovas, Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to the UAE, to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation in economic fields, investment development, trade exchange, and strengthening collaboration in the higher education sector between universities in Ajman and the Republic of Estonia. The meeting, held at the Ajman Chamber headquarters, was attended by Mohamed Ali Al Janahi, Executive Director of the Member Support Services Sector; Aisha Al Nuaimi, Director of the Investment and Business Promotion Department; Fatima Yaqoob Al Awadhi, Head of the Investment Attraction Section at Ajman Chamber; and Fatoumata Tall, Export Advisor at the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia. At the outset of the meeting, Al Suwaidi welcomed the Estonian Embassy delegation and commended the strong relations between the two countries, as well as the continuous growth in their trade volume. He emphasized that this growth enhances future cooperation opportunities between Ajman and Estonia across various economic sectors, affirming that the meeting aligns with efforts to strengthen international relations and expand the horizons of economic and academic cooperation. Ajman Chamber highlighted Ajman's unique attributes for attracting investments in the industry, trade, tourism, real estate and construction, education, health, infrastructure and services, advanced industries, and technology sectors. Furthermore, it showcased the exceptional opportunities offered by the Ajman Free Zone (AFZ), which positions Ajman as an attractive destination for investment and business. The Estonian delegation was briefed on the rapid developments in Ajman's education sector, particularly in higher education, which is considered a fundamental pillar and strategic focus that the wise leadership in the emirate is keen to develop and strengthen its international partnerships. During the meeting, the Ajman International Education and Training Exhibition (AETEX) was highlighted as a leading international platform for supporting academic cooperation and exchanging expertise between local and international educational institutions. Estonian universities were invited to participate in the upcoming 2026 edition of the AETEX. Al Suwaidi further underscored the importance of exchanging commercial and economic information to explore available investment and trade opportunities between both sides, foster cooperation in the education sector, facilitate the exchange of expertise and educational institutions, and enhance new prospects for partnerships in technology and innovation. For her part, Ambassador Belovas expressed her gratitude for the warm reception, affirming her country's keenness to enhance cooperation with Ajman, especially in the education sector. She explained that a delegation from the Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia, including representatives from several higher education universities and institutions specializing in education and educational technology, will visit the UAE in the upcoming period. She recommended coordinating and organizing a series of joint meetings with Ajman universities to exchange expertise and strengthen academic partnerships between both sides under the umbrella of Ajman Chamber. She also extended an invitation to Ajman Chamber to participate in the "Estonia Business Forum" organized by the Embassy next month in Dubai. She provided a comprehensive overview of Estonia's economic and investment advantages and its distinctive geographical location, emphasizing her country's commitment to developing its agricultural exports and enhancing its presence in UAE markets. The meeting concluded with a recommendation to organize joint promotional workshops and bilateral forums to bring together business leaders from both sides, aiming to explore cooperation opportunities and investment exchange. At the end of the meeting, Al Suwaidi and Ambassador Belovas exchanged commemorative shields and gifts.
