Ajman Chamber participated in the events of “UAE-China Industry and Investment Cooperation Conference” in Shenzhen, China, with a view to bolstering UAE-China investments and fostering strategic partnerships across key sectors, including "industry, technology, renewable energy, transportation, logistics, healthcare, financial services, and information and communications technology". The Ajman Chamber was presented by H.E. Mahmoud Othman Abu Al Shawareb, a Member of the Board of Ajman Chamber. This participation, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Investment, aimed to highlight investment opportunities in Ajman and open avenues for cooperation and partnership with the Chinese side. More than 300 Chinese government officials, investors, and companies participated in the Conference. The Conference events included a series of sessions and bilateral meetings to explore investment opportunities and development projects in the UAE and Chinese markets, as well as discuss partnership opportunities at both the government and private sector levels. Abu Al Shawareb held several bilateral meetings with a group of Chinese companies and investors to discuss cooperation opportunities and promote investment opportunities in Ajman. He highlighted the investment opportunities in the industry sector and the keenness of the Ajman government to provide the tools and enablers for the growth of this vital sector, in addition to the promising investment opportunities offered by the tourism sector, especially in light of Ajman’s strategic location and steady growth in tourist numbers. He also explained the investment opportunities in the education and health sectors. Al Shawareb added "The successive booms in Ajman’s real estate sector have made it the fastest-growing and most influential sector in the emirate’s economy as the sector offers a broad range of investment options and significantly drives growth in the construction sector. Together, the real estate and construction sectors contributed 29% to Ajman’s GDP in 2023, with the construction sector accounting for 16.4% and the real estate sector contributing 12.6%." He praised the depth and strength of the economic relations between China and Ajman, noting the Ajman Chamber's keenness to intensify its efforts to attract Chinese investors, especially since the Ajman Chamber has 544 Chinese members. Al Shawareb also commended the efforts of the emirate of Ajman in providing the foundations and enablers to enhance the growth of foreign direct investment, drive a competitive business environment, and support ease of doing business as a key direction of the emirate's 2030 vision. Additionally, he affirmed that the Ajman Chamber is keen to increase its tools to support Ajman's investment attractiveness and promote the available opportunities in all sectors, including "holding international forums and conferences, receiving high-level economic delegations, enhancing external economic cooperation and developing trade volume and attracting investments in cooperation with official delegations, organizing specialized exhibitions, and intensifying the agenda of participation in international exhibitions and events."
