Ajman Chamber Participates In The Arab Smes Summit In Marrakesh

H. E. Eng Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Muwaiji, the Chairman of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), represented the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) at the Arab SMEs Summit. The summit was organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills in the Kingdom of Morocco. The summit continued for 3 days from December 12th to 14th in Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco, with the presence of H. E. Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills in Morocco, as well as senior officials and representatives of international and regional organizations, government entities, chambers of commerce, and institutions concerned with supporting and empowering entrepreneurship and SMEs in the Arab region to discuss and enhance entrepreneurial opportunities in the Arab region. H. E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji praised the Arab SMEs Summit for its role in advancing entrepreneurship in the Arab region and providing a regional platform to discuss this vital sector in the growth of national economies.as the SMEs represent about 80 to 90% in many countries, and the summit aims to stimulate and inspire Arab entrepreneurs through regional and global business models, success stories, and partnership development among participating entities. It also provides opportunities for officials and decision-makers to meet with business owners, exchange knowledge, and experiences. H. E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji emphasized that the Ajman Chamber is keen to participate in events related to entrepreneurship and support for SMEs projects, in order to follow the best practices and exchange experiences. This is part of the Ajman Chamber's efforts to integrate modern technologies and tools, as well as AI, in the development of the economic and industrial sectors, and to enhance its role as a sustainable business incubator aimed at guiding youth to launch and implement innovative ideas and projects. He also stated that Ajman Chamber's participation in the summit contributes to the development of a renewed global economic network that supports opportunities for expansion, business development, and promotes Ajman as an ideal investment destination. Al Muwaiji stressed that the diversity of the summit's activities, including specialized interactive sessions and workshops, has strengthened the guidance of SMEs owners towards forming partnerships and integration to develop businesses and increase productivity. Additionally, it highlights business incubators and enhances the role of innovation and digital technology in achieving comprehensive and sustainable economic and industrial development. The summit included a series of interactive workshops, including workshop on " Enhancing Economic and Social Empowerment of Youth and Women and its Importance in Achieving Comprehensive and Sustainable Industrial Development," "The Importance of Industrial and Technological Incubators and Business Accelerators and their Role in Supporting and Assisting Young Entrepreneurs," and a workshop entitled" Harnessing Innovation and Digital Technologies to Support the Industrial Sector System." Al Muwaiji pointed out that the summit covered several areas, including "green technologies and business models, empowering creative industries, accelerating e-commerce, export opportunities and readiness for SMEs, business financing for SMEs, and how to start a business." During the Arab SMEs Summit for, H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji met with a number of senior officials and representatives of participating chambers of commerce from Arab countries, as well as officials responsible for entrepreneurship, to discuss ways of cooperation and exchange of experiences.
