Ajman Chamber Intensifies Its Efforts To Educate Its Member Establishments About The “Corporate Tax Law”

As part of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI)'s commitment to intensify its efforts to develop legal awareness and educate its member establishments about tax laws and their updates, Ajman Chamber organized a legal workshop entitled "Corporate Tax" in cooperation with Al Tamimi & Company. The Workshop was attended by representatives of more than 35 business owners and investors, as well as a number of jurists, accountants, risk and compliance specialists, contract and procurement managers, and those interested in the subject of the workshop. The Workshop dealt with the definition of "Corporate Tax" and its impact on business, the requirements for efficient preparation and compliance with it by taxable entities, establishments subject to and exempt from corporate tax, the objectives of the Corporate Tax Law and its role in accelerating the pace of growth and development, and the keenness of the competent authorities to provide a tax system that adopts and adheres to international standards with the aim of enhancing the UAE's place on the global business and investment map. Abdullah Omar Al Marzouqi, Executive Director of the Membership Transactions and Legal Services Division at Ajman Chamber, confirmed that the Ajman Chamber is intensifying its efforts during the first half of this year by educating its member establishments about the Corporate Tax Law. The Ajman Chamber also seeks, in cooperation with its legal and accounting partners, to provide business owners with tax compliance requirements efficiently and accurately. He continued, "Ajman Chamber, under the directives of the Board of Directors, pays great attention to providing legal awareness to its member companies and factories through a series of legal seminars and specialized awareness workshops with a view to providing a supportive service environment for the sustainability and growth of private sector business, in addition to protecting commercial and industrial interests and enabling various sectors to keep abreast of developments in the business environment. For her part, Aisha Al Nuaimi, Chief Executive of the Legal Services Department, stated that the workshop witnessed a clear interaction, as all inquiries and questions were answered by the attendees, explaining that the Ajman Chamber does not hesitate to enhance its direct communication with its member business owners to provide channels to explain local and federal laws and legislation through the implementation of an agenda of various legal activities to serve the business community in Ajman. Ajman Chamber is also keen to launch new proactive services in addition to developing and updating its legal services directed to its member establishments from the private sector with the aim of enhancing the commercial and investment attractiveness of Ajman.
