Ajman Chamber Organizes The "Innovation Meeting 2023" To Celebrate Its Innovative Employees And Customers

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) held the "Innovation Meeting 2023", with a view to celebrating innovators and owners of creative ideas and proposals from employees and customers, and highlighting the achievements of the Ajman Chamber, in conjunction with the "UAE Innovation Month” under the theme the "UAE Innovates". The meeting was held in the Metaverse and attended by H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Ajman Chamber, Nasser Al Dhafri, Executive Director of the Member Support and Innovation Sector, and Eman Al Shamsi, Director of the Development and Innovation Department and Head of the Innovation Month Activities Team at the Ajman Chamber, in addition to the Ajman Chamber's employees and customers. At the beginning of the meeting, Nasser Al Dhafri welcomed the attendees and stressed that the Ajman Chamber, under the directives of the Board of Directors, gives the field of innovation special attention and care, so that it becomes an approved methodology that is directly reflected in the Ajman Chamber's work plan and positively affects the services, projects, and initiatives of the Ajman Chamber. It will also become a main tool for managing changes and turning challenges into opportunities in line with the directions of the emirate of Ajman, in particular, and the UAE, in general, to strengthen the UAE's position on the international innovation map. He added, "The Ajman Chamber, through the Development and Innovation Department, aims to promote the adoption of innovation and spread innovation culture among its members and the Ajman society, with a view to promoting sustainable development in all areas of life, and contributing to preparing a generation of innovators with creative and innovative ideas and projects." Al Dhafri praised the quality and value of the innovative ideas and proposals of the Ajman Chamber's employees and customers and their role in supporting the innovation environment and achieving the Ajman Chamber's strategic goals aimed at providing proactive services that exceed the expectations of members and enhance their contribution to economic development, empowering and upgrading SMEs, and developing their activities to maximize their pioneering role in supporting a diverse future economy. He explained that the Ajman Chamber aims, by collecting innovative ideas and proposals, to provide a participatory approach that ensures the development of flexible future policies and strategies that enhance the contribution of various sectors to increasing Ajman GDP, as well as providing capabilities to harness digital transformation and data management to achieve priorities and support the decision-making process. Accordingly, the number of new ideas received from the Ajman Chamber's employees in 2022 reached 314 ideas, compared to 162 ideas in 2021. For her part, Eman Al Shamsi confirmed that the Ajman Chamber is keen to intensify its efforts to motivate and encourage its employees to share innovative ideas through many platforms, including the "Fekrati" channel and "Eshaar" platform, as well as launching digital competitions with the aim of developing the work environment and introducing proactive innovative services and initiatives that enhance Ajman's competitiveness as a leading investment destination, explaining that the Ajman Chamber's customers submitted 82 proposals in 2022. She stated that the Development and Innovation Department implements, in line with the Ajman Chamber's annual plan, a wide range of workshops and training courses to spread the culture of innovation among employees and the Ajman people. In addition, the Aman Chamber intensifies its efforts during the UAE Innovation Month, as it organized the training program (Metalab Innovation Laboratory) to learn about the latest technologies of the Metaverse, virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI); and organized a workshop entitled "Foresight of the Future of Business 2071" to highlight the importance of foreseeing the future. The Ajman Chamber, in cooperation with the Ajman Business Women Council, participated in the activities of the "DEMO DAY" exhibition, which was hosted by Ajman University, in addition to the organization of a workshop entitled "How to Prepare for the World of Metaverse Business" A training workshop entitled "How to Preparing for the world of metaverse business" and "Innovation Lab 2" for university students. At the end of the meeting, the Ajman Chamber held a special meeting with the owners of innovative ideas and proposals from the employees and customers, As H.E. Salem Al Suwaidi honored the owners of creative ideas and proposals at the headquarters of the Ajman Chamber.
