With 22,206 New And Renewed Memberships During The First Half Of 2022

Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) achieved a remarkable growth in membership numbers during the first half of this year (H1 2022) by 12% compared to the same period in 2021. The total new and renewed memberships reached 22,206 membership, including all types of "commercial, industrial, professional, and freelance professions" licenses, compared to 19,866 memberships year-over-year (YoY). The commercial licenses grew by 8% with a total of 11,671 memberships during H1 2022, compared to 10,810 memberships YoY. Industrial licenses also got the same percentage of 8%, as the number of industrial activities reached 683 memberships compared to 634 memberships YoY, while the professional licenses increased to 9,500 memberships, with a growth rate of 15% compared to 7,802 memberships YoY. The freelance profession licenses increased by 42% to reach 803 memberships during H1 2022, compared to 567 memberships YoY. H.E. Abdullah Al Muwaiji, the Chairman of ACCI, stressed that the remarkable growth in the membership numbers of the Ajman Chamber, during H1 2022, reflects the economic growth in the Emirate of Ajman in all fields as a result of the various potentials, competitive advantages, and investment opportunities available in Ajman, in addition to the facilities and services provided by the Government of Ajman to develop the economic sector and enhance its competitiveness. The expansion and development of the infrastructure of the Emirate, especially during the past three years, through the establishment and completion of an advanced road network, has facilitated the movement of transport and the advancement of industrial zones. He explained that the Ajman Chamber, in cooperation with its partners from the local and federal authorities, is keen to stimulate the business environment and create a healthy economic environment for business owners and those who are willing to start new activities and investments, in order to achieve the Ajman Chamber's strategic objectives of enhancing the sustainability and growth of the business community, anticipating and creating the future of business, and enhancing the potentials of competitiveness and leadership. H.E. Al Muwaiji added, "Ajman Chamber is strengthening its efforts in promoting the Ajman economy and opening new markets for local products by diversifying its participation in exhibitions and external events and providing the opportunity for business owners to participate under the umbrella of the Ajman Chamber, in addition to strengthening foreign relations with officials from embassies, consulates and commercial centers to discuss opportunities to increase economic cooperation and increase the volume of intra-regional trade between Ajman and its counterparts in the world". He stressed that the Ajman Chamber is constantly seeking to implement best practices to ensure ease of doing business and promoting the economy at the local and foreign levels, as well as providing a service environment characterized by flexibility and speed of procedures. The Ajman Chamber stresses the importance of its communication with business owners by intensifying its field visits and providing the "Eshaar" platform aimed at enhancing the effective participation of the private sector in upgrading the economic sector, expressing opinion, and monitoring challenges in order to grow and sustain business and attract investments.
