Ajbwc Holds Second Meeting

The Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) at the Ajman Chamber convened its second board meeting of 2026. Chaired by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of AJBWC, the meeting focused on reviewing the latest up-dates regarding the "Takamul" program for Women's In-dustrial Entrepreneurship. Board members also discussed service enhancement strategies, supportive initiatives to empower female entrepreneurs, methods to boost the competitiveness of women-led businesses, and avenues to expand partnerships with various entities in the upcoming phase. The meeting was attended by AJBWC board members and staff and was held via remote video conferencing. At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Al Ali welcomed the board members and highlighted the strategic importance of the "Takamul" program for Women's Industrial Entrepreneur-ship. She emphasized its role as an integrated platform dedicated to qualifying and empowering businesswomen to enter the industrial sector. She noted that the program fo-cuses on four main pillars: "Training and Qualification, Consultation and Guidance, Industrial Visits, and Exhibition Participation." Dr. Al Ali stated, "The alignment of the 'Takamul' program for Women's Industrial Entrepreneurship with the Year of Family 2026 reflects the program's crucial role in fostering the economic and social stability of women and families. This is achieved by developing skills, building capacities, and preparing female entrepreneurs to confidently and effi-ciently enter the industrial sector." The meeting reviewed the progress of the “Takamul” pro-gram and its targeted industrial sectors, including the fra-grance and cosmetics, food, and textile and fashion indus-tries. Board members were also briefed on key milestones achieved through a series of specialized meetings, work-shops, and events organized in collaboration with the Ajman Chamber and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT). These initiatives follow a Memoran-dum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the "Make it in the Emirates 2026" forum, aiming to qualify businesswomen, enhance their capabilities, and enable them to establish and scale sustainable industrial projects.
