Supporting Women’S Role In Innovative Entrepreneurship: A Strategic Goal Of Ajbwc

As part of its ongoing efforts to empower women, support innovative entrepreneurship, and foster an environment conducive to innovation and project sustainability, the Ajman Business Women Council (AJBWC) continues to register intellectual property rights for its initiatives, ideas, and member-led projects. These efforts support AJBWC’s strategic objectives to enhance competitiveness, safeguard intellectual property, and enable women to develop sustainable, innovative ventures that respond to evolving market demands. In this context, AJBWC has announced the registration of intellectual property rights with the Ministry of Economy (MOEC) for the initiatives "Rufof" and "My Car." This step underscores the AJBWC’s commitment to excellence and creativity in community and development work, and reflects its dedication to empowering its members through innovative, value-added initiatives that strengthen capabilities, support business growth, and ensure sustainability. Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of AJBWC, emphasized the AJBWC’s strong focus on protecting innovation and creativity—both within its own initiatives and in the ideas and projects of its members. She highlighted the importance of educating members on the strategic role of intellectual property registration as a vital tool for preserving rights and enhancing the competitiveness of brands and products. She added, “AJBWC is committed to guiding and supporting its members in accessing intellectual property registration services, in collaboration with the AJBWC’s advisory and relevant partners. This direction is consistent with AJBWC’s broader mission of achieving sustainable economic and knowledge empowerment.” Dr. Al Ali noted that the registration of "Rufof" and "My Car" marks a significant milestone, reflecting the quality of AJBWC’s initiatives provided to the businesswomen community. She explained that the "Rufof" initiative aims to support female entrepreneurs who are members of AJBWC by offering effective marketing channels, including six sales outlets, to increase their visibility in local markets, promote their products, and boost sales. She further stated that the "My Car" initiative provides car financing through the Qard Al Hassan system, aiming to help women entrepreneurs expand their operations, facilitate transport and delivery, improve performance efficiency, and raise productivity levels. In addition, AJBWC, in collaboration with its partners from the competent authorities, has registered the intellectual property rights of a number of its members—underscoring the importance of protecting innovative ideas and pioneering projects. Dr. Al Ali called on female entrepreneurs who are members of AJBWC, as well as those interested in registering their intellectual property rights, to contact AJBWC. She encouraged them to take advantage of the available support and consult with the AJBWC advisory partners to ensure all procedures are carried out properly and professionally.
