AJBWC organises the 3rd Economic Licenses Forum under the theme of “Economic Licenses and Their Role in Backing the Enterprises”

The Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC) affiliated to the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) organised the 3rd Economic Licenses Forum under the theme of "Economic Licenses and Their Role in Backing the Enterprises” in the presence of businesswomen and representatives of a number of government competent entities at the Fairmont Hotel-Ajman.
The Forum featured participation and work papers presented by: ACCI, AJBWC, the Municipality and Planning Department, the Economic Development Department, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs of Ajman, the Civil Defense Department – Ajman, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation – Ajman, Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and Tasheel Centre-Ajman.
At the beginning of the forum, Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of AJBWC said that the forum aims at addressing the laws and mechanisms of  obtaining the economic license and the exemption of the warranty. It further seeks to highlight the role of institutions in supporting the businesses and promoting the licenses dedicated for domestic projects with hassle-free procedures through certain departments.
She also stressed the importance of concerting efforts of the local and federal government departments to support women entrepreneurs and provide all possible ways to get started their own business within official channels, to enhances their contribution to the national economy.
She praised role of the wise leadership in overcoming all obstacles that may face businesswomen to ensure sustainability of their enterprises. She further praised the Ajman Chamber's efforts to support women entrepreneurs and promote them through providing the required support.
She explained that the forum is an important opportunity ensures direct link between the women and many government departments concerned with the issuance of commercial licenses. This allows them to know about the support provided for them by exploring their views on the promotion of the Council’s partnerships to increase the support that meet their aspirations and increases their economic effectiveness, she added.
Dr. Amna then presented a synopsis about “Bedayat” license and its role in enhancing the women’s business and their interests, as well as eliminating the difficulties that may face their commercial, industrial and service businesses. She further explained the methods adopted to promote Bedayat holders through the newsletter of Anamel Wataneya, One Day Exhibition, and Bedayat Annual Exhibition, as well as participation in various exhibitions of the business and productive families across the country. She further explained the procedures required for the issuance of the licenses and mechanisms of the existing cooperation between the AJBWC and all the local authorities in the emirate to support businesswomen in Ajman
The Forum addressed the most important steps to obtain the business licenses and how to take advantage offered by the departments and concerned departments to the businesswomen. Rasha Al Shammari-Ajman Chamber, presented a full explanation about Regis offices that provides modern offices meet requirements of the entrepreneurs and promote the business sector in the emirate.
Meanwhile, Dr Ahmad Fawzi-Municipality and Planning Department, explained the standards and health requirements, as well as the  procedures required for issuing Bedayat license in cooperation with AJBWC. He also pointed to role of the public health department in the F&b activities, beauty salons and perfumes and incenses.
Also Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi-Department of Economic Development, explained the stages of issuing Bedayat license starting from the approval of the AJBWC, as well as the approval of the concerned authorities, then the last stage to get the license.
Meanwhile, Colonel Rashid Hilal Al Suwaidi-Civil Defence in Ajman, stressed importance of the cooperation between all parties in order to facilitate and support the business climate in general, business of the women entrepreneurs in particular, pointing to keenness to support women's economic activities
For his part, First Lieutenant Majid Mohammed Al Nuaimi-Civil Defence in Ajman, noted that the department is keen to enhance cooperation with AJBWC and those authorized to issue the domestic economic licenses so as to reduce expenses of issuing those licenses while maintaining all safety and security standards. He stressed keenness of the department to strengthen communication with Bedayat holders in coordination with AJBWC to follow-up safety and security and safety measures at the houses.
Furthermore,  Amna Al Nabouda and Noura Khalil Al Sha’er-Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in Ajman, explained the vision, mission and strategic objectives of the Ministry and the services its provides. They pointed to aspects of the support provided for the economic licenses issued by the Khalifa Fund. They also demanded the present to necessarily learn and understand the labor laws through the Ministry’s official channels.
Shaima Bint Taleah-Khalifa Fund, presented synopsis about foundation of the Fund. It was established in 2007 in Abu Dhabi, while its branch was opened in Ajman in 2011. She noted that the support programs, include moral support through the provision of consulting, training courses, membership of the Khalifa Fund, and exemptions associated with some government agencies, as well as the financial support. She explained the mechanisms to apply for the financial support and its importance for the members of AJBWC and Bedayat holders.
Sary Khalid Abdulrahman-Tasheel Center-Ajman, talked about the services provided by the center in cooperation with the authorized bodies that facilitate the business environment in general.
The Forum after that a number of discussions between the audience and the representatives of economic entities. Then, Dr. Amna Khalifa honored the speakers, and thanked the audience that they were keen to take advantage of the Forum and the working papers.
