Ajman: The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) received the Consul General of Sudan to Dubai and the northern emirates, Abdulazim Mohamed Al Sadeq, and his deputy Abu Bakr Mohamed Al Nour at its headquarters to discuss the ways to enhance the economic cooperation between the two sides.
The delegation was received by Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of ACCI, in presence of Salem Al Suwaidi, the Director General, and Mohamed Al Janahi, Executive Director of Business and Investment Development Sector. 
At the beginning of the meeting, Al Muwaiji stressed keenness of Ajman Chamber to strengthen its direct communication with all countries to open new horizons of investment for the businessmen and access new markets to promote the emirate’s industries.
He briefed the delegation on the facilitations provided by the UAE in general and Ajman in particular for the businessmen and investors, pointing to the country’s economic trends adopted under guidance of the leadership to cooperate with all countries in all sectors.
He hailed the strong historical ties between the UAE and Sudan, noting that Sudan owns various attractive economic elements, especially in agriculture, livestock and mining. He further said that many of the Emirati businessmen have their own projects and business in Sudan.  
Al Muwaiji also stressed the need to increase those projects, especially that all requirements of success are plentiful in terms of the manpower and various natural resources. 
In the meantime, Abdelazim Sadiq thanked the Ajman Chamber for the warm reception, praising the existing relations between the UAE and Sudan. He talked about the most attractive sectors for investors in the Republic of Sudan, such as gold and various metals like chrome and the mining sector in general. He also pointed to the educational sector, which promises great investment prospects for businessmen, especially with regard to the educational  infrastructure available in Sudan.
He further noted that the government entities in Sudan are eager to provide any facilitations and support in terms of statistics, information and others about its key economic sectors. 
Meanwhile, Al Janahi invited the Consul General of Sudan to participate along with the Sudanese entrepreneurs in the Ajman Franchising Expo-2017, which will be organised by Ajman Chamber in next April. The exhibition will see large local and international participation. It will allow the opportunity for the Sudanese brands to be promoted internationally, in addition to learning about more brands that can be attracted to invest in Sudan too, he added.  At the end of the meeting, Al Muwaiji handed over a memorial shield to the Consul General of Sudan.
