AJBWC organises Entrepreneurs Forum-2017

AJMAN: Ajman Businesswomen Council (AJBWC) organised the Entrepreneurs Forum-2017 under the slogan "Challenge, Creativity, Corporate Entrepreneurship" to support communication, cooperation and mutual understanding between the business community and the entrepreneurs. The Forum aims to encourage and stimulate individual initiatives, and inspire the spirit of initiative and challenge from the successful models of the entrepreneurs’ experiments.
Attended the forum which was held in Ajman Saray Hotel, Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairwoman of AJBWC and Board Member of Ajman Chamber, Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Chamber, Hana Zuhair, Vice President of the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Fund for Women Development in Saudi Arabia, members of AJBWC, and a number of officials and representatives of government entities and businesswomen entrepreneurs, as well as supporting and sponsoring bodies and a number of university students.
Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali opened the Forum, while stressing that it aims at allowing the opportunities for the participants to communicate among themselves and learn from successful entrepreneurial experiences to start their own businesses in a spirit of determination and defiance. It further seeks to review and discuss innovative ideas for business development, while will feature launch of the Best Enterprise Award, she added.
Moderated the sessions Dr. Khalid Moklad, small enterprises and entrepreneurship development consultant. The first session addressed the “challenge" theme. A number of projects and the most important challenges that faced them were discussed. While Ahlam Ali, presented a synopses about her project "New Step to Solar Power". She explained her personal experience during the transition from the government job to her own project. Also Shehab Al Ali, talked about his own project "Frozon Factory" its stages of implementation and the main challenges faced. They also listened to Sultan Bin Ghadir about his enterprise. Sultan chose local projects to be a leader in their field, stressing that local products have a special character which distinguishes it, advising everyone to be creative in the selection of projects.
The second session focused on the "creativity". Mariam Al Mahdi sopke about her own project that was based on a new and innovative idea in the field of natural cosmetics. Faisal Bin Deh, spoke about his enterprise “Chairs” that based on recycling and making household chairs. The project is a commercial environmental and is run from home without relying on external labor. The idea and excellence of the products were praised by the customer, he added.
Meanwhile, Iman Soom, also pointed to her idea to support the entrepreneurs through sharing success stories of businesswomen across Instagram on a special account titled "inspirational woman". Also Jawhar bin Yaqout talked about his career and his passion to audio devices that turned a successful project.
The third session addressed the "Corporate Entrepreneurship” and the role of the institutions in changing society for the better through the innovated enterprises, ideas and achievements. Mohammed Abdel Wahab-Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman talked about the recycled containers and seats and how the project contributed to preservation of the  resource. He praised the keenness of the leadership in Ajman Municipality to implement creative ideas to serve the business environment and sustainability of resources.
Rasha Al Shammari-Ajman Chamber, presented a brief on the Regis offices that provide modern offices meeting requirements of women entrepreneurs, as well as promoting the business in the emirate.
Also Fatima Al Boloushi-Tourism Development-Department, spoke about the vision, mission and objectives adopted to promote the emirate globally. Then, Maisoon Al Ali, presented a synopsis about “Kayani” which is affiliated to Emirate Corporation. She explained the vision and mission of the corporate, pointing to its programmes like Takatuf, Saned, Kafa’at, We Think with Knowledge and Kayani.
Under the title "Badr Al Multaqa", Hana Zuhair, Vice President of the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Fund for Women Development in Saudi Arabia, presented an overview about the fund that concern development of  Saudi women and upgrade them to high levels. She pointed to the role of youth in development, noting that the proportion of the young people reached in 2014 65 per cent and is anticipated to reach 72 per cent by 2025. She also spoke about a number of programs dedicated for training, rehabilitation, communication, influence, encouragement and motivation. She pointed to the most important challenges that face small and medium enterprises in terms of operational costs, competition, demand for the product, labor laws, government fees, banking finance, skilled labor, etc.
She stressed the importance of creativity and innovation in the projects, as well as the partnership between the male and female entrepreneurs which ensure support and success of their enterprises. She further pointed to “Bayader” initiative, which incubates the women entrepreneurs’ enterprises and turns their ideas into practical projects. She recommended educational institutions to adopt directed approach in entrepreneurship to stimulate creativity and innovation among students.
Meanwhile, the present stressed on the necessity to link the entrepreneurship and enterprise in general to the CSR with creation of standards for this linkage.
Dr. Amna Khalifa also talked about the Council and its goals in the promotion of the working women through its programs, projects, exhibitions, forums and participations. She noted AJBWC has currently over 800 members, emphasizing that the Council adopts plan and the objectives go in line with the vision of the UAE, emirate of Ajman, and Ajman Chamber.
During the Forum, she unveiled the Best Enterprise Award under the auspices of Ajman Chamber and the AJBWC. The award comes to enhance and support growth of the SMEs and promotes culture of creativity, innovation. It further aims at motivating the entrepreneurs to adopt the best management practices.
At the conclusion of the Forum, Dr. Amna Khalifa honored the speakers and the staff for their role in the success of the activities of the forum. She also honored the teamwork of Takatuf.
