
Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and in cooperation with Gulfa Mineral Water Company organized “Soqya” initiative which comes as a implementation of the chamber’s most important values of social responsibility.
In this initiative water was distributed at approximately 10 different construction sites at various locations in the emirate of Ajman on construction workers and cleaners during their working hours, where they work on vital projects and provide various services under the flaming summer sun.
A number of Ajman chamber’s employees volunteered to carry out this initiative and provide water to the workers, as they are considered active partners in the community.
Mohammed Al Muhairi, Head of Public Relations and Partnership Department, who led the volunteers in distributing water to the workers, said that the aim of this initiative was to alleviate workers’ heat strain, those who are exposed to the sun during the hot summer.
It also aimed at making this segment of the society feel appreciated for their hard work and contributions to serve and develop various parts of the emirate, adding that joy and happiness filled the workers’ hearts who were thankful for this initiative.
Sarah Al Qaiwani Head of Community Service Department said that this initiative as a whole aims to enhance social solidarity which is urged upon by our Islamic values, adding that “Soqya” initiative aims at strengthening the bond between volunteers and workers draw smiles on the workers’ faces, and implant the spirit of charity. |
