Ajman Businesswomen Council organized a course on” Incense Making” at the premises of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at which 15 women, members of Ajman Businesswomen Council, have participated.
The aim of organizing this course is to train women how to make a competing local product in the markets nowadays, which is Bukhoor or (incense). The course also contributes at helping women use their skills in gaining a profession that helps them improve their living standards and integrate into the labor market and market their own products.
It also comes in response to the needs of women producers to gain a profession that allows them to enter the labor market and meet their personal and community needs through supporting and financing their small businesses.
During the course participants learnt the stages of making incense and the special ingredients needed to make it. They also learnt the basics of making bukhoor (incense) and perfumed oud . In addition they learnt how to create their own unique incense blends that distinguish them from others, as well as that they learnt the difference between Arabic and French incense blends. |
