The Training and Development Center at Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized, in collaboration with the UAE Academy a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and with accreditation from Kaplan Training Institute in Singapore, the strategic leadership development program. The program lasted for 3 months with participation of 17 employees of Ajman chamber.
The overall objective of organizing this training program is to enhance the participants leadership skills in various aspects; intellectual, cognitive and applied. This prepares them to take on the responsibility of corporate leadership at various organizational levels. Starting from thinking and strategic planning, passing through decision making and problem solving ,and ending with leading and motivating human resources, as well as learning and constant innovation .
Ajman chamber was keen to organize this program in order to achieve a number of detailed objectives including the development of the information and knowledge of participants, and providing them with latest and most advanced knowledge in the field of leadership, such as models and patterns of leadership and various methods in the field of corporate leadership. In addition to the development of attitudes and behavior of the participants and develop those attitudes and tendencies towards effective leadership behavior.
This strategic leadership development program also sought to develop the skills and capabilities of participants and equip them with effective leadership skills including thinking and planning skills, problem solving and decision making, motivating and leading employees in order to achieve the strategic objectives.
Aisha Abdul rahman Head of Training and Development Center at Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the organization of this program is a confirmation of the great importance that has been placed by Ajman chamber on developing national potentials and qualifying cadres capable of leading in various sectors in the emirate. And activate the key role of leadership cadres in achieving the ambitious and modern visions of the emirate. As well as implementing the chamber’s strategic plan and bearing the burden of the sustainability of the development in it’s economic, social and cultural aspects.
Aisha Abdul rahman also added that the work environment at Ajman chamber is considered an ideal environment to develop leadership through career development plans, training programs, and applied activities coupled with the knowledge of best practices and global applications and the access to the elite sources of expertise and specialization in the world. Through enhancing the capabilities of the program’s participants to develop a concept for leadership based on knowledge, continuous development, and wide horizon. Furthermore provide the participants with integrated methodology to analyze problems develop solutions.
Noting that in order to achieve all of that, the Training and Development Center at Ajman chamber is bending the curve towards strategic partnerships with some of the elite universities, academies, and leading international and specialized training institutes in the field of management and leadership. |
