H.E Salim Al Suwaidi , Acting Director General of Ajman Chamber met with Mr. Peter Gopfrich CEO of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Trade (AHK) and Mrs. Kifah Mahmood Saleh Head of Public Relations and Marketing Support at the Council . In the presence of Nassir Al Dhifri Assistant Director General of Media and Corporate Communications , Abdullah Al Marzouqi Assistant Director General of Centers’ Sector, Mohammed Al Janahi Assistant Director General of Key Services Sector and Sheikha Al Nuaimi Director of International Affairs Department at Ajman Chamber.
This meeting aims at opening communication channels between Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Trade. The German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Trade is newly established and falls under the umbrella of the Association of the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) , and acts as interface between the Emirati investors and the German businessmen through conferences and specialized seminars held by the council.
At the beginning of the meeting, Salim Al Suwaidi welcomed the delegation of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Trade, stressing that Ajman Chamber is always ready to welcome businessmen from various countries to promote for the investment opportunities available in the emirate of Ajman.
Pointing out that ACCI welcomes the cooperation with various institutions and business bodies including the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Trade, which is an opportunity to build strong economic ties with the German side. As the Republic of Germany is considered one of the trade partners of the U.A.E.
Al Suwaidi also underlined that Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomes the coordination and cooperation with the council to organize joint economic events which will be beneficial for the businessmen of the emirate of Ajman as it will create commercial and industrial business opportunities with the German side.
For his own part, Dr. Peter Gopfrich CEO of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Trade said that the aim of this visit is to introduce the council’s work to Ajman chamber, in terms of activities and events that are organized by the council.
Mohammed Al Janahi , Assistant Director General of Key Services Sector at Ajman Chamber mentioned the chamber has strong relations with the German side , which is materialized through the chambers’ visits and participations at a number of exhibitions held at German cities , one of which is the recent strong and distinctive participation at the Hannover MESSE 2012.
Al Janahi stressed that such meetings promote joint cooperation between the two sides. Adding that a recent visit made by the chamber’s delegation to the Consul General of Germany at the country translates this existing cooperation , and help the German businessmen learn about Ajman’s economic assets which leads to creating joint business opportunities between the two sides .
At the end of the visit, Salim Al Suwaidi , Acting Director General of Ajman Chamber expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Peter Gopfrich CEO of German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Trade for his visit and for the invitation to participate at one of the upcoming events organized by the council which will be held in Munich during the month of July , 2012. |
