Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a memorandum of understanding with the Federation of Kurdistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the framework of the keenness of both parties to develop and strengthen economic and trade ties , and in order to ensure the achievement of the desired objectives which will benefit both sides .
The memorandum of understanding was signed by H.E Abdullah Al Muwaiji Chairman of Ajman Chamber’s Board of Directors on behave of Ajman chamber and it was signed by H.E Dara Jalil Khayat Chairman of the Federation of Kurdistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry on behave of the federation.
This was during an official visit to Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry made by the delegation of Ajman Chamber Commerce and Industry and representatives from the Bank of Ajman and Ajman University of Science and Technology.
The delegation included H.E Abdullah Al Muwaiji Board Chairman of Ajman Chamber , H.E Salim bin Ahmed Al Nuaimi Second Deputy Chairman of the Board , H.E Thamir Saeed Salman Board Member and Vice President of Ajman University of Science and Technology , and H.E Salim bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Shamsi representative of the Bank of Ajman .
The agreement stipulated the activation of any cooperative activity between the parties which will contribute to the development of the bilateral relations between the two countries .Further more a number of common goals that contribute to the advancement of the economic development of both the emirate of Ajman and the region of Kurdistan were set .And one of these goals is the development and promotion of investment and commercial relations between the parties. Increase the volume of investment and trade exchange between the two countries.
Also as stipulated by the agreement facilitate the visits of trade delegations ,and coordinate meetings visits and conferences between the two parties . Which in turn will strengthen and develop bilateral relations, provide facilities for both parties as well as benefit from the expertise of each side in the various economic fields.
H.E Abdullah Al Muwaiji Chairman of the Board of Ajman Chamber pointed out that future relations between Ajman and the region of Kurdistan will witness remarkable development in the framework of implementing the concluded agreement between the parties particularly in the field of the trade, industry , higher education , banking and agriculture .
which reflects the commitment and keenness of both sides to develop bilateral relations and unify joint efforts to enhance these relations and contribute to strengthen the role of the industrial and commercial sectors in the two countries .
Al Muwaiji also added that Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry have always sought to sign agreements and memoranda of understanding with chambers of commerce in various countries in order to open new prospects for commercial cooperation, which will reflects positively on the business sector in the emirate of Ajman and create new business and investment opportunities through supporting businessmen of the countries that have links by agreements with Ajman chamber of commerce and industry .
H.E Board Chairman of Ajman Chamber also explained that holding such agreements will open new markets for the products of factories and companies operating in the emirate of Ajman .Promote and develop industrial and other various economic activities , and build trust with investors through providing facilities and the necessary support for setting up investment projects that will drive the economic development in the emirate of Ajman.
in turn , the Chairman of Ajman Chamber Board of Directors thanked the Chairman of the Federation of Kurdistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry for all the efforts made to sign this memorandum of understanding which will effectively contribute to strengthen economic partnership between the two countries .
It was also agreed to follow up on all the items that were discussed in order to achieve the desired objectives for the advancement of economy of the emirate of Ajman and the Kurdistan region.
It is worth mentioning that during this visit Ajman chamber’s delegation also visited Investment Authority of Kurdistan where they looked at investment opportunities in Kurdistan and laws governing them .In addition they visited the bank of Tigris and Euphrates where they discussed frameworks of cooperation with the board of directors of the bank . the delegation also paid a visit to Cihan University and the International School of Choueifat in the region of Kurdistan . |
