His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman in the presence of HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council inaugurated the first Ajman Industrial Exhibition 2012 organized by Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sheikh Zayed Centre at Ajman University of Science and Technology with the participation of 60 exhibitors from the private industry in Ajman.
After ribbon cutting marks opening of the exhibition ,His Highness the Ruler of Ajman, accompanied by Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Industrial Development, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Municipal and Planning had a tour across the sections and wings of the exhibition hearing a full explanation from those responsible of the participant’s wings on mechanisms and the production of these factories and how the marketing and promotion is taking place in these factories.
During his tour HH visited all the stands around the event, he met various participant and assessed the industrial products in terms of quality compared to the export products. He also stopped at many of wings, especially the wing of Khalifa Fund to Support and Develop Small and Medium Enterprises and listened to its goals and the Fund's strategy and plans which carried out in order to support youth initiative and establish national projects.
HH praised the endeavor by Ajman Chamber for organizing the exhibition, which shows that the industry in the UAE are interested in by driving rational for the United Arab Emirates, which seeks to attract the owners of large and medium industries and encourage them to set up factories with the participation of local businessmen, stressing that industrial production in the United Arab Emirates has become competing with others of global products, both in terms of the quality or prices.
HH expressed his satisfaction with the development of industries in the emirate of Ajman, and the production of high quality through the use of modern technology.
His Highness the Ruler of Ajman directed Ajman officials to pay attention and promote the services provided by the UAE in general, and Ajman in particular for investors and businessmen in terms of facilities, incentives and services and provide the infrastructure that contribute to attract the owners of large industrial projects.
HH stressed on the young people to engage in the establishment of small and medium industries that evolve and develop in the future to be one of the major projects with the highest international quality standards, and use of the latest technologies to contribute to the GNP of U.A.E, and that by taking advantage of the Arab and international’s experiences and provide ideas and inventions that might applied by cooperate between foreign and local investors.
He drew the attention of officials of industrial affairs to consider local cadres and encourage them to adopt a variety of industrial projects through the development of industrial and economic scientific research to enhance the future of the industry in general, and keep up with manufacturing that provides the best investment.
His Highness said that the government of Ajman pay attention, care and support for the industrial sector, and is always keen to provide all facilities to the investors in the sector and remove all the obstacles and challenges.
Then, HH went to the theater where the ceremony started with the UAE National Anthem and recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by a speech by His Excellency Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In his speech, He praised the support and patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi and HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, for all activities and events of the Chamber and their active participation in programs and events organized by the Chamber.
He explained that Ajman Chamber sought to build bridges of effective communication between the chamber and its members, where Ajman Industry Exhibition 2012 was supportive of the industrial plants operating in Ajman to promote it and open the door of cooperation between them and the businessmen and local and foreigners’ investors from various countries around the world.
Al Muwaiji ensured that industry is the most important sector that raises the level of countries as it offers financial liquidity and the movement of money and business’ cycle with the provision ofemployment for a large number of members of the community, pointing out that the various products manufactured locally is one of the priorities targeted by the United Arab Emirates in general, and Ajman in particular in where establishment of numerous industrial plants contributed in developing of
industrial structure. Our leadership has given great importance to the national industries through the implementation of many plans and programs that support the industry as part of policy of diversification of economic resources to achieve the comprehensive development of the industry.
He said that Ajman Chamber has attached great importance to industry and commerce which encouraged to attract more investors where Ajman now hosts over 725 factories specialized in the activity of the petroleum industry, petrochemical and manufacturing industries, plastic industry, mining and other industries such as food, clothing, building materials, furniture and boat building industry and others to enhance competitiveness of national products and to ensure the quality of either compete in the domestic and overseas markets through the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman and the permanent followup to this important sector, as well as the unlimited support of HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi.
He noted that many factories had plans outlined to ensure the quality of their work through access to international certifications and awards since it commitment to the elements of quality conforming to international standards, including some local factories as Axel, Speed House and Royal Palace, Fish Processing company and Gulf Craft, and many of the factories that participated in the development since the establishment of Ajman’s industrial renaissance in 1977.
The Chairman of Ajman Chamber in his speech, reviewed some statistics, including membership certificates registered in the Chamber for 2011, which amounted to more than 25000 members and the value of exports, which increased to AED 6 billion in which the contribution of the industrial sector was in the range of 20 percent indicating that Ajman Chamber has given interest to the local and external participation in order to extend bridges of cooperation with different parties whether its industrial or commercial through the organizing such industrial exhibition , or its participation in Hannover International Fair in Germany and its activities during these days where the Chamber has participated with a stand. Ajman Chamber will also participate at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai which will be held next week to participate and promote the emirate of Ajman, in cooperation with Ajman Municipality and Planning department, Ajman Department of Economic Development, Ajman Free Zone and Ajman civil defense.
He praised the active participation and cooperation between government
departments in Ajman as well as federal ministries such as the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Electricity Commission, to move the commercial and industrial growth forward.
He said “Your Highness endeavored further efforts in the development of trade and industry and establishing factories for human resources which are Universities and colleges, and we are getting the results through the contribution of national human resources in all areas of life, and by passed the decree establishing Department of Tourism Development in Ajman to oversee the tourismactivity and tourism industry, this development will always continue under you highness patronage and under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the Rulers of the Emirates”.

At the end of the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi and HE Abdullah Al Muwaiji honored a number of departments participating in the exhibition, including the Municipality, Planning Department and Ajman Free Zone Authority, the General Administration of Civil Defence, Commercial Bank of Dubai and Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, also the official sponsors were honored which are Excel as Gold Sponsor, Asmak Factory , Royal Factory, and Apid House Factory as Silver Sponsors.
The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Amiri Diwan and number of Sheikhs and HE Juma Al Majid, Chairman Dubai Economic Council, HE the Ambassador of U.S. Ambassador of Chile, and a number of advisers, heads and directors of government departments, factory owners , investors and businessmen.
