In the election that took place in the chamber, Dr Amana Khalifa Al Ali has been elected as the President of the Ajman Business Women Council, Reema Al Shurafaa for the Vice-chairman position, and Maryam Al Shurafaa, Secretary General of the Council, Fatima Almsafri for the Conferences and Events Committee, Fatma Jassim for the Resources Committee, Sarah Ahmed for the local and regional and international Relations Committee, and Aisha Major for the Media Committee.
His Excellency Abdullah Al Muhairi, the Chairman of Ajman Chamber praised the important role that women play in various aspects of life, especially the economic ones. He pointed out that the confidence given by the Government of Ajman demonstrates the status reached by the women and their efficiency and capabilities of the clear and important and constructive role in the society.
He added that the presence of women in the Council of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry reflects the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman to support and assist the President of the Ajman Business Women Council and the constant follow-up of HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and the chairman of Ajman Executive Council and his eagerness to overcome all the difficulties that may face the Council's work.
On her part, Dr Amenah Khalifa, the President of the Council explained that women have played a very important role in the UAE in all economic fields as well as other areas in the community.
Dr Amenah Khalifa stated that Ajman Business Women Council and since it was founded under the care of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce has endeavored on upholding and highlighting the role of women in business and has contributed to keep pace with the aspirations of women and promoting their participation in the sustainable development of the society.
During the election the annual plan of the new Council was presented, which included all the programs and projects of the council that translate its objectives and phases of implementation during the year.
H.E Salem Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Chamber and a number of assistant general managers and officials in the chamber were present during the election. |
