The department of commercial affairs at Ajman chamber of Commerce an Industry held a meeting on the subject of Ajman chamber’s participation at the Arabian Travel Market, which is to be held on the 30th of April and will last for four days. This participation is part of the administration’s agenda for the year 2012 that works on planning for the participation in a number of exhibitions both inside and outside the country to serve Ajman chamber and its members.
Ajman Culture and Media Department and the Economic Development Department were invited to participate with Ajman chamber to represent “Ajman Government” at the exhibition, which aims to strengthen and consolidate relations between government departments in the emirate.
The meeting was chaired by Jamila Kajoor, Head of Business Development Department at Ajman Chamber, and was attend by the organizing team of Ajman chamber’s participation at the exhibition and Saleh Al Astad ,Head of Tourism Development at Ajman Culture and Media Department and Fatima Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of Economic Relations and Events at Ajman Economic Development Department.
A number of topics were discussed during the meeting related to the organization of Ajman Chamber’s participation at the Arabian Travel Market Exhibition. Ajman Chamber aims from this participation to provide support to the Hotel Business group and it also aims to consolidate relations with various government departments. In addition, participants at the meeting discussed the topic of participation costs as well as the design and structure of the stand allocated for the emirate of Ajman at the exhibition, the emirate will be represented by Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Department of Culture and Media and Department of Economic Development.
The meeting also addressed the possibility of government departments participating at the exhibition as sponsors. In addition to the possibility to showcase tourism studies carried out by the research and studies center of Ajman chamber at the exhibition.
Jamila Kajoor added that the decision to participate at the Arabian travel market exhibition for the first time was made because it is considered one of the most important and leading exhibitions in the field of tourism ,travel , and aviation.
Noting that the department of Commercial Affairs at Ajman Chamber and the Department of Culture and Media and the Department of Economic Development have shown great interest in the participation of Ajman Hotel Business group at the exhibition. As Ajman hotel Business group is being considered one of the most dynamic business groups and its participation at the exhibition has great benefits as it will contribute to highlighting the activities of businesses and companies, specializing in travel and tourism , which in turn will serve the tourism field in the emirate and contribute to its development. |
