Ajman’s Council of Business Women membership in rise

The membership of Ajman’s Business Women Council has increased to reach the number of women members to 284 women, where the number of membership was 38 women in the beginning of its establishment.

The Business Women's Council of Ajman is affiliated to Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry since its founding in 2005 until now.

According to Dr. Amna Khalifa, acting Chairman of Ajman’s Council of Business Women, the council is ready to welcome new membership.

She said that Business Women in the emirate could visit the council's headquarters building, located in Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as they can visit the website www.ajbusinesswomen.ae to get all the information related to the council and its membership.

She stated that the Council's vision is to focus on the free economy, participation and empowerment.

The council’s message aims to encouraging women’ economic investment and to support self-employment initiatives within and outside the country, the implementation of programs and projects targeted the development of women’ economy, in accordance with the standards and ongoing training and the culture and the values ​​of society.

Dr. Amna said that the Council seeks to translate its objectives through implementation of a number of programs and activities that serve the business women in the Emirate of Ajman, adding that the Council since its inception until now organized and participated in nearly 51 activities and 21 exhibitions and 5 projects.

 The Council organized a number of meetings and visits, to coordinate between the different activities and events of the Council, in cooperation with several agencies such as Khalifa Bin Zayed Foundation for Humanitarian and transportation in Abu Dhabi and Ajman, and Khalifa Fund to support projects and economic development in Ajman and others.

The Council also organized a number of workshops and competitions, including a special workshop for Emirates Prize for Women, a contest for the best heritage product and many other activities that support the women economy.

She noted that the main objectives of the Council are to promote the interests of business women in Ajman and to overcome the difficulties that may face them in their own businesses.

 In addition to strengthen the links with the corporate business women bodies in the local, regional and international levels,  pointing out that the Council aims to provide initiatives and actions designed for promoting the activities of business women in the emirate.

Under the patronage of his highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, the Chariman of  Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry , the council will organize Badiahat exhibition,  under the slogan "Made by my hand" during the month of October to encourage the productive families.  All information related to the exhibition will be  announced during a press conference which will be held soon, the Acting Chairperson of Ajman Women Council said.
