
The Organizing Committee for the First International Islamic Economics Forum held its first preparatory meeting in Khalifa Al-Muaijee hall in the presence of the organizers, at Ajman Chamber of Commerce which will host the forum.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Imad Shehab, the Secretary-General of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry for the Arab States, Abul Rahim Naqi, Secretary General of the GCC Federation of Chambers of Commerce, HE Abdullah Sultan, Secretary General of the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, HE Abdul Mohsen Al Linjawi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Islamic Chamber in Jeddah, HE Obaid Bin Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, HE Mohamed Al-Hamrani, Director General of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Nasir Al Zhafri, Assistant Director for Media and Corporate Communications, at Ajman Chamber.
The preparatory meeting had addressed the Forum to be held during the 8-9 of December 2010. The Forum will address, which is the first of its kind in the Arab and Islamic countries, several economic topics, Islamic perspective; where the economy is the best Islamic economies, which has shown robustness in the face of crises and the most balanced.
The Forum will address during the two days several working papers presented by international and Islamic economic figures who would enrich the Forum. The aim of this forum, through its dedicated regulators, is to discuss economic issues of interest. Some of the most interesting topics are the Islamic economic system, the international economy and the global financial crisis.
The Forum will also address the effect of the global financial crisis on the Islamic economies and their causes compared to the other international economies and the growth rate of the Islamic financial system.
HE Obaid Ali Al-Muhairi, Chairman of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has expressed during the meeting the Chamber's pleasure to host the first session of the Islamic Economic Forum. |
