To emphasize the keenness of Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry to contribute to the community to the interest of the members of the community in all areas and to insure their awareness in the health field ,so Ajman Chamber in cooperation with Ajman Medical Zone organized the event of the Health Day under the theme "Urbanization and its impact on health" to coincide with the World Health Day 2010
Nuha Alshurafaa the head of community service in the Chamber stated that the Chamber has initiated the department of community service which is concerned with the organization of initiatives and contributions to community in various areas expressing the commitment of the Chamber to act as a responsible entity in the society that is keen to educate the categories of the community and its employees and members of the importance of maintaining health and such participation comes from within the plan for the division to celebrate several international events this year.
The event which was held at City Centre , Ajman included health activities comprising multiple awareness campaign followed with programs of free of charge medical examinations to all visitors in sugar and blood pressure, height and weight, was also a free drawing stand was formed for students in schools in the morning and children who visits the center during the evening along with the presentation of a documentary film about the importance of health in addition to the distribution of health publications.
Amenah Al Majidi, head of health education in Ajman Medical Zone said the participation of the Chamber comes within the policy of mutual cooperation between the two parties, which promote the joint social role to render service to members of the community and thus contributing to the dissemination of health awareness and involvement of society in these events which aimed to raise the level of health for all members of society.
Nuha Alshurafaa Confirmed that the event witnessed a remarkable turnout of all visitors to City Center Ajman whose participation was by taking medical tests, also distribution of 140 gifts to the children participating in the Free Drawing program . |
