Enlightening chamber’s employees about the impact of plastic bags

The Ministry of Environment and Water organized events as part of its campaign , " UAE free of plastic bags" and in cooperation with the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a lecture to educate staff and workers of the chamber by the dangers of plastic and the lecture was delivered by Eng Omran Al-Shehhi Environmental Researcher in the Ministry of the Environment and  Water .This campaign, which aims to reduce the negative impacts of plastic bags wastes on human health and the environment and towards implementation of the policy of the federal government calling to maintain human health and natural resources, and out of the ministry's keenness and interest in preserving the environment and natural resources where Al-Shehhi explained the broad objectives of this campaign to educate the society about the dangers of plastic bags and about the acquisition of environmental practices to reduce plastic bag use and to increase awareness and use of alternatives and substitutes to those bags and to support the spirit of initiative and responsibility of individuals and to create a law that limits the use of plastic bags. Al-Shehhi praised the initiative of the Government of Ajman, represented by Amiri  Decree of the Government of Ajman which abandoned manufacturing non-biodegradable plastic bags  by the year 2010, and the chamber to host this lecture reflects that it is keen to help to educate its own  employees on environmental issues and make them aware of the dangers of using plastic bags.
Al-Shehhi explained the most important implications of the manufacturing processes of plastic and how does it harm also explained some of the alternatives to plastic and provided tips to reduce the risk of plastic Finally, he emphasized the importance of fighting these bags and move away from using it and raise awareness for environmental aims to raise public awareness of the dangers of plastic bags and makes them willing to reduce their use and thus prevent future use.
