On the occasion of World Health Day, which is celebrated on April 7 every year, the Ajman Businesswomen Council in collaboration with the Ajman Specialty Hospital organized a lecture on the breast cancer combat to raise the awareness and education about risks of breast cancer and the importance of early detection.

Under the chairmanship of Abdullah Al Muwaiji, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the weekly seminar with attendance of Acting Director General Salem Al Suwaidi, executive directors, heads and directors of sections and departments, as well as the staff.

The training and development department at the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has organized a course titled -professional project management and use of MS Project- within its strategic plan to enchase and develop skills of the staff. Engineer Samir Lulu presented the session at Khalifa Al Muwaiji Hall-HQ of the Chamber focusing on the leading and supervising staff.

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry has signed an MoU with the Ajman Tourism Development Department at the HQ of the Chamber.

The Ajman trade volume of export and re-export of food and beverages witnessed a significant growth by end of 2012, revealed Muhammad Al Janahi, executive director of investment and business development at the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It reached Dhs750 million comparing to Dhs183 million in 2011 increasing by 310 per cent or Dhs567 million, Al Janhi added.

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry is going to organize the first education and training exhibition in Ajman in the last week of next April. The Ajman Education and Training Exhibition (AETEX) will provide a stand for each private education institution in the emirate, including universities, colleges, institutes and schools to promote for their services.

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Ajman Youth Center and City Center will organize the Future Pioneers Exhibition on Thursday. The 3-day-exhibition that will be held at the City Center with participation of 35 male and female students aims at supporting the scientific projects and innovations of the school students in the Emirate of Ajman.

The Ajman Businesswomen Council held a meeting to resume discussing the initiative of issuing trade licenses for the women who practise business activities from their houses in the Emirate of Ajman. The meeting has been attended by Dr Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Board Member of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Ajman Businesswomen Council, HE Mohammed Ali Al Marzouki, Executive Director of Licensing Department, HE Sami Al Jallaf Director, of Development Office, HE Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Nuaimi, Director of Economic Licensing, HE Majid Nasser Al Suwaidi, Director of Control Department, Eng Abdullah Al-Tamimi, Head of Public Health Dept, HE Saud Sultan Al Shammari, Head of Licensing at the Municipality and Planning Department and Aziza Al-Shehi and Mouza Ketbi from the Ajman Businesswomen Council.

A number of work groups of various initiatives and projects of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry have been honored by the chamber on Thursday at its headquarters. The ceremony was attended by HE Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber and Salem Al Suwaidi Acting Director General, besides the assistant directors and the employees.

The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry honored the general labour employees, such as, workers, office-boys, janitors and security men at its headquarters and branches. This came in response to the generous initiative (Thank You) that has been launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai on the occasion of the Accession Day. The ceremony was attended by HE Abdullah Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Ajman Chamber and Salem Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Acting Director General, as well as assistant directors and the employees.
